She Didn’t Feel Beautiful… Until She Created This - Nicole Rowe (Ep. 38)

Today on The Fairy BOSSmother Show, I met with Nicole Rowe, founder of a Barbadian skincare brand that should be dominating the market, but isn’t… yet.

Her products are made from ingredients she can literally grow in her own backyard, but her biggest challenge isn’t competition, it’s self-perception.

If Nicole doesn’t feel beautiful herself, how can she convince others that her products will make them feel sexy and beautiful too?

Can I help her turn the formula she makes for skin into the formula she needs for confidence?

Let’s meet Nicole Rowe.

Before the Fairy BOSSmother

When Nicole started her skincare company, Honey Child BB, she had one goal: to make a product that worked. Her formulas were beautifu, rich, natural, and thoughtfully created with ingredients grown right in her backyard. Plantain, moss, and hibiscus weren’t just ingredients. They were the story of Barbados itself.

But in the saturated world of skincare, a good product that was natural and non-toxic isn’t enough. Nicole was competing against global giants with million-dollar marketing budgets and decades of credibility. And instead of owning her story, she played small.

She didn’t have a website and her copy read like every other brand. Her Instagram still ooked like a side hustle instead a catalogue that overflowed with beauty and intrigue. There was no trace of Nicole, at least not her story, the woman who, in her own words, didn’t always feel beautiful, didn’t always feel seen.

That’s when I knew where her real brand story began.

Because the truth is, women don’t just buy skincare. They buy how it makes them feel.

During the show

When Nicole joined me on The Fairy BOSSmother Show, I asked her one question that changed everything:

“Do you feel beautiful?”

She paused. Then quietly said, “Not always.”

And there it was, the story she’d been hiding behind her products. Her brand wasn’t born out of perfection. It was born out of pain of wanting to feel desirable, seen, confident. That moment cracked something open.

We talked about how every product she makes is a reflection of that journey. When she feels low, her skincare ritual brings her back to herself, from feeling flat and invisible to glowing, confident, and sexy.

Nicole’s brand needed to embody that transformation, from dull to divine, from unseen to unstoppable. The skincare wasn’t just for dry skin or sun damage. It was for the soul.

Together, we built a new brand message rooted in sensuality, self-worth, and island pride.

Because the Barbados sun isn’t just something you wear sunscreen for, it’s the light you carry inside you.

After the show

When Nicole left the show, she was no longer the quiet skincare maker behind the label. She was the face of it.

She started showing up on camera not as a model, but as a woman in motion. Her expressions became more intimate, her content more sensual, and her words carried a new kind of authority that comes from truth.

She’s no longer trying to compete with international brands, but building her own category, one that celebrates beauty, confidence, and Caribbean identity all in one bottle.

Her products are now a reminder of who you are.
