Scientist Entrepreneur Rediscovering Her Identity Superpower - Roksana Khalid (Ep. 63)

What happens when a neuroscientist becomes an entrepreneur and slowly starts losing the identities that made her powerful in the first place?

Today on The Fairy BOSSmother Show, I met with Roksana Khalid, a neuroscientist, entrepreneur, and mother who is trying to balance business, family, and the many layers of who she is.

Roksana is capable of handling the demands of entrepreneurship, but in the process of trying to do everything, she has slowly disconnected from the scientist, the international woman, and the deeper parts of her identity that actually make her stand out.

Can I help Roksana pull those identities back to the surface and build a brand that reflects the full depth of who she already is?

Let’s meet Roksana Khalid.

If you want me to review your personal brand (deeper, in private, and without the cameras), you can book a Persona Brand Audit here.

Before the Fairy BOSSmother

Before we began the conversation, Roksana described herself as someone who could handle the demands of entrepreneurship. She understands how to operate in business, how to solve problems, and how to keep moving forward even while balancing motherhood and the constant demands of everyday life.

On the surface, she was functioning well. But underneath that functionality was something else.

In the process of trying to manage everything, she had slowly begun disconnecting from some of the identities that shaped who she is at her core. Her background in neuroscience had become quieter in the way she saw herself, despite the fact that it represents years of education, discipline, and expertise. Alongside that, her international background, which carries its own depth of experience and perspective, had also faded into the background of her current identity.

None of these parts disappeared. They simply stopped being fully expressed.

During the show

As we spoke, it became clear that Roksana’s challenge was that her identities were fragmented and she was struggling with time.

When someone spends years moving between different responsibilities, especially as a mother and entrepreneur, identity can become reduced to function. You become the person who gets things done, solves problems, and keeps everything moving, but the fuller picture of who you are starts to shrink.

That was the real tension in the conversation.

Roksana was still carrying all of these experiences, skills, and perspectives, but she was no longer fully connecting them to the way she presents herself in business.

The turning point came when we stopped looking at her identities as separate categories and instead began seeing them as interconnected strengths. Her scientific background shapes the way she thinks. Her international experiences shape the way she sees the world. Her motherhood shapes the way she leads, adapts, and prioritizes.

These are not distractions from her business identity. They are the reason her perspective is valuable.

After the show

By the end of the conversation, Roksana did not need to reinvent herself or create a completely new identity. What changed was her ability to recognize that the version of herself she was searching for had never actually disappeared.

The scientist was still there. The global perspective was still there. The intelligence, discipline, and depth were still there. What had shifted over time was visibility.

Once those parts were brought back into the conversation, her identity became more complete, more grounded, and far more powerful than trying to fit herself into a single role.

For Roksana, the next chapter is not about choosing between being a neuroscientist, entrepreneur, or mother.

It is about allowing all of those identities to exist together without reducing herself down to only one.

Want a brand breakthrough like this?

You’ve just watched me help complete strangers realign their identity and step into the version of themselves they already knew was there.

Now it’s your turn.

The Personal Brand Audit is where I personally review your website, your social media, and your online presence privately and honestly. No cameras. No performance. No pressure.

I’ll show you where your brand is diluted, where you’re underselling yourself, and where the million-dollar version of you is already visible but not fully owned.

If this episode resonated, it’s probably because you know there’s more of you that isn’t being seen yet.

Are you ready?
