In 2023, I was featured in Nashville Voyager after being nominated by my client and friend Mackenzie Morrow of Mackenzie Muscle.
The interview captured an important chapter in the story of Boss Diplomat: how a girl born and raised in London who wanted to become a diplomat eventually took what she had learned from international affairs, public figures and high-level environments and carried it into a very different kind of work.

From London and Diplomacy to Boss Diplomat
My original ambition was diplomacy. That path took me into international affairs and gave me experience around diplomats, politicians and public figures, as well as exposure to different countries, cultures and ways of communicating.
When I moved to the United States in 2019, my career changed direction. I began working with entrepreneurs and small businesses, and Boss Diplomat grew from there.
At the time of the Nashville Voyager interview, I described the connection this way: “Boss Diplomat emerged from my background in diplomacy, where I recognized the significance of human connection and the impact of first impressions on establishing relationships.”
That sentence is particularly interesting to revisit now because Boss Diplomat has evolved considerably since the interview was published, while that underlying fascination has remained.
The Thread That Survived
In 2023, I was still describing much of my work through the language of personal branding and helping entrepreneurs become their own brand ambassadors.
Today, my work goes much deeper into public identity: the signals people give off, the patterns other people notice, the gap between how we understand ourselves and how we are experienced, and the things that can become almost impossible to see when we are standing inside our own perspective.
The language changed because the work became clearer. But the roots of it are visible in this interview: human connection, first impressions, observation and an interest in what happens between what a person intends to communicate and what somebody else actually receives.
Thank You, Mackenzie
This feature also exists because Mackenzie Morrow nominated me for it. Mackenzie and I originally met through a referral group and went on to work together professionally, with me supporting her business while she supported me with fitness and nutrition.
I’m grateful that she thought my story was worth putting forward. Years later, the interview has become a useful snapshot of Boss Diplomat in transition—and part of the public record of how this work developed.
