If You’re a VA With No Clients, Read This - Ajeyhia Brown (Ep. 62)

Meet Ajeyhia Brown, a virtual assistant from Sweet Breeze VA who has quit the rat race to start her own company. Ajeyhia has been working with a business coach who got her started on Instagram, but she still has zero clients. Ajeyhia is now looking for help to get her brand reviewed so that she can get her business on track and close those dangerous marketing gaps, if she hopes to get this business off the ground.

I’m Talyn Rahman-Figueroa , and my job as your personal brand expert is to give small business owners—no sugarcoating love, just real talk—and help them uncover the opportunities they’re missing now by not having a personal brand and how to elevate their position as an expert.

This one’s a must-watch.

Let’s meet Ajeyhia Brown.

Before: All Effort, No Clients

Ajeyhia is a virtual assistant who recently launched her business with a mission to support BIPOC coaches and online consultants. She’s been working under the guidance of a coach whose methods seemed successful… but she’s still sitting at zero clients.

She’s doing everything “right”:

• Clear niche (on paper)

• Posting content with hooks and keywords

• Showing up on Instagram regularly (when she can)

But something isn’t landing.

Her job title—virtual assistant—is holding her back.

Founders hear it and immediately shut down:

“Oh, I already have a VA.”

“I know what I’m doing.”

“No thanks.”

Despite her skills and potential, Ajeyhia isn’t being treated like a business owner. She’s not being seen as a problem solver. And without a website, her only digital presence is an Instagram page with too little traction and no focused message.

During: Reframing Her Entire Brand

On The Fairy BOSSmother Show, I showed Ajeyhia what was really going on beneath the surface.

Her title? Diminishing her authority.

Her niche? Too wide to be memorable.

Her content? Too generic to convert.

I started by scrapping the “virtual assistant” label and repositioning her as a delegation expert—someone who stands shoulder-to-shoulder with other founders, not beneath them. I elevated her from “support staff” to strategic partner.

Then, I narrowed her ideal client down to one specific avatar: a YouTube-savvy founder with an audience and systems chaos behind the scenes. By creating her content around solving that one person’s biggest pain points, she could instantly start attracting other founders with the same problems.

No more vague tips. No more casting the net too wide. She now had a lane.

After: Expert Status, Real Strategy

By the end of the episode, Ajeyhia walked away with more than clarity. She left with a new identity.

She’s no longer just a “VA.” She’s a delegation expert for overwhelmed content creators.

Her content now speaks directly to the high-stakes tasks that keep successful founders up at night.

And while she still doesn’t have a website, she now has a brand strategy that will make her Instagram—and eventually her full digital presence—work for her, not against her.

She’s not waiting for clients anymore. She’s building something they can’t ignore.

“I knew calling myself a virtual assistant was undervaluing me. I just didn’t know what to do about it. Now I’ve got the clarity and validation needed to finally change.”
