From Grassroot Diplomat to Boss Diplomat
I founded Grassroot Diplomat in my twenties, building a career that involved working alongside politicians, diplomats and other public-facing professionals.
That experience exposed me to the importance of how individuals communicate, represent themselves and are perceived by different audiences.
It also taught me that professional authority does not come solely from a title or position. The way someone behaves, communicates and responds to others can influence how their credibility is understood.
When I later established Boss Diplomat, I brought those observations into a different professional setting.
At the time of the feature, my work was described primarily as personal branding consultancy for entrepreneurs.
Today, Boss Diplomat focuses on public identity and perception, examining how individuals present themselves, what others infer from their behavior and where gaps emerge between intention and impression.
The Evolution of the Fairy BOSSmother
The feature also explored the development of my public identity as the Fairy BOSSmother.
What began as a nickname became a recognizable part of how I presented my work, combining my diplomatic background with a more unconventional approach to examining professional identities.
My services and positioning have evolved since the article was published, but that identity remains part of the story of Boss Diplomat.
A Record of Professional Evolution
The Chicago Journal feature captures a particular stage of my career: the transition from diplomatic consultancy into building an independent advisory business.
It remains a useful record of the experiences and decisions that contributed to the work I do today.
