For International Women’s Day in 2024, I had the pleasure of joining Christine & Salt after being selected as their Badass Woman of the Week.

The radio conversation gave me a chance to talk about my journey from diplomacy into entrepreneurship, the creation of Boss Diplomat and some of the experiences that shaped the work I was doing at the time.

It was also a genuinely funny interview. At one point, the conversation turned to how law enforcement and police officers could use my particular skill set.

My response?

“They can’t afford me.”

Context is important. I wasn’t randomly announcing my rates to the radio audience. It was my response to that specific conversation—and one of the moments from the interview that still makes me laugh.
