Featured in Leaders Perception: AI, Human Insight and the Early Evolution of Boss Diplomat

In early 2024, I was featured by Leaders Perception as part of its Innovate & Elevate: Inside the Entrepreneur’s Toolkit interview series.

The conversation captures a particular stage in the evolution of Boss Diplomat. At the time, much of my work was still described through personal branding, and I was experimenting with tools and approaches ranging from artificial intelligence to collaborative business partnerships.

One thread from the interview remains particularly relevant to the way I think today: technology can support the work, but it does not remove the need for human observation and judgment.

Diplomacy, First Impressions and Human Connection

I also spoke about how my diplomatic background shaped the way I thought about connection and first impressions. Long before Boss Diplomat existed, I had worked in environments where context, relationships and the way people interpreted one another mattered.

That perspective followed me into entrepreneurship. Although the language I use for my work has changed considerably since this interview, my fascination with what people notice, remember and respond to has remained.

Using AI Without Removing the Human

The interview explored how I was using AI as a creative collaborator, particularly for brainstorming and content development. My view was that the usefulness of the technology depended heavily on the thinking and direction supplied by the human using it.

That distinction still matters. Tools can help us generate, organize and accelerate ideas. Human beings still bring context, interpretation, experience and judgment to what those tools produce.

A Snapshot of Boss Diplomat in 2024

The original Leaders Perception interview also discusses ideas and business practices that belonged specifically to this earlier chapter of Boss Diplomat. I keep features like this in my archive because they document the evolution of the work rather than pretending that every idea I held in 2024 is still how I would describe it today.

What is interesting in hindsight is seeing which threads survived: diplomacy, first impressions, human connection and the importance of looking beyond the tool to the person using it.
